Respite Care - Award Winning Care from Barchester Healthcare

Respite care

Everyone deserves time out. Whether you care for a relative, are a professional carer, or are in need of permanent care yourself, taking a break from your usual routine can do wonders for you. Perhaps now is the time to think about the value of respite care.

As a carer you can relax, knowing that your relative, friend or patient is in a safe, welcoming environment with first class care tailored to their needs. A respite stay at a Barchester Home gives many people the opportunity to experience first rate service amongst friendly and welcoming staff and residents.

Respite stays are always short term. Having said that, the relationships they build between the Home and client give great reassurance to all concerned, especially if a longer stay ever becomes necessary. Respite care is also ideal for those who are well enough to leave hospital but not yet well enough to return home.

Home from home

Respite care

With over 160 homes throughout the UK providing first class nursing or residential care, Barchester Healthcare can meet your needs in a number of picturesque locations.

All Barchester homes have a high standard of décor and furnishings with ample communal areas and lounges to provide opportunities to socialise. The Home's Activities Co-ordinator will take account of each residents' personal preferences to incorporate into the activities programme so you can be as busy or as relaxed as you like.
We pride ourselves on providing excellent food and our chefs use fresh local produce wherever possible to create varied and delicious meals. Special dietary requirements can always be catered for and you can choose to eat in the dining room or take advantage of room service.

Meeting your individual needs

Respite care

Our aim is to provide seamless continuity of care and our well-trained and qualified staff work hard to ensure that everyone’s personal desires and preferences are respected. You are most welcome to visit any of our homes and experience our friendly hospitality for yourself. In any event, prior to admission, you will need to meet the General Manager
either in the convenience of your own home or at the Care Home. The General Manager can then assess your individual needs and tailor a care plan to suit you.

Book yourself a well-earned break
